Telegram Blocking

Some news manages to go stale before I manage to write about it.
Treacherously, Without Declaration of War #
This week — right during my forced silence on the blog — a campaign to throttle Telegram began. Treacherously, without declaration of war.
It feels like just yesterday we were all laughing as the three-letter agency tried to block Telegram, taking down half the internet in the process — while the messenger kept working as if nothing had happened. In reality — ten years have already passed.
This time, it looks serious. Lessons have been learned. A lot of groundwork has been done. No more “carpet bombing” of IP addresses — precise, methodical throttling. And the countdown, it seems, is now measured in months.
I’m a Little Turtle #
There’s an old cartoon about a turtle and the seasons. Winter. The turtle steps outside with an umbrella, looks around, realizes her mistake, and goes back for a sled. By the time she returns — spring has arrived. Wrong again. And so it goes — round and round. The turtle walks very slowly.
I’m starting to feel more and more like that turtle. I barely launched a Telegram channel — and Telegram is already being throttled. I can’t keep up with writing news. I can’t keep up with platforms — they change too fast.
What’s Next #
Is MAX coming to replace it? Perhaps. But that’s a whole different story.
For now — the Sigil Gate network keeps running. After all, this is exactly what it was built for.
